Justine Wellman is a ceramic artist whose work is deeply rooted in a lived connection to plants and the Australian bush. Her vessels are layered with underglaze monoprints and hand-cut stencils, creating surfaces that speak through recurring imagery and quiet tension. By removing the direct touch of her hand from the decoration process,  she allows form and pattern to build their own dialogue, one shaped by memory, mood, and place.

Faceless figures drift through these layered landscapes, echoing the shifting moods of coastal bushland and the silent weight of histories held in the land.
